Sue Gamester (formerly Walker) was raised in Hove, Sussex and has worked in the business for over seventy years! (apart from a break to raise her four children - Linda and Debbie being two of them!!) she started her varied career aged fifteen in variety at Brighton's Imperial Theatre on North Street. She was  a member of the well known variety group 'Dawn White and Her Glamzons, appearing on the Royal Variety Show at The Palladium in 1954.

Sue's credits as an actress include : ON THE BUSES, LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR, YOU'RE ONLY YOUNG TWICE, and the feature film CARRY ON UP THE JUNGLE.

In the late 70's Sue worked full time for the BBC in the wardrobe department in White City.
In 1984 she became the first resident wardrobe mistress on EASTENDERS in Elstree.

Sue retired in 1998. Now at the ripe old age of 85, she would 'not miss her Saturdays for the world'.
